The Star Family Medicine Clinic is looking for a personable and experienced Medical Assistant for our providers located in the wonderful City of Star!
Position Summary & Highlights:This MA position will support an established family medicine physician in a great workplace culture focused on teamwork, passion, and fun!
This clinic sees a wide variety of patients from infants to the elderly.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group provides convenient care close to home in the heart of Star. Located on State Street next to City Hall, the clinic offers access to family medicine and urgent care services to area residents and commuters.
In addition to typical MA duties, you will also be administering immunizations, perform blood draws and assist with minor procedures.
You will also complete prior authorizations and tasks and orders in the task inbox and also have the opportunity to be crossed trained in Urgent Care to help cover or float to that clinic.
An ideal candidate will be proactive, personable and will have strong customer service skills.
You will also have solid multitasking skills and enjoy providing excellent patient care!
This is a smaller clinic so there would be opportunity to work independently at times.
4 - 10 hour days, Tuesdays - Fridays, 6:45am - 5:30pm.
Shift start time and end time may vary based on provider's schedule and clinic needs.

*MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
American Medical Technologists (RMA)
National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
*Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year. See each of the credentialing organization sites for additional details. EMT or CNA certifications will not count towards an MA certification.
