Therefore, we strive to put the Right People in the Rights Seats so that everyone wins!OVERVIEWA machine Builder is responsible for a wide variety of duties in the construction of custom-designed robotic automation systems. Duties include machining, milling, assembling, debugging, and troubleshooting customized mechanical assemblies and end-of-arm tools. Exercises common sense.* Exercise Operational Excellence* Fanatical about safety* Diligent in quality and precision* Focused on continuous improvement and Doing It Better * Strive for a 100% on-time completion rate on build milestones* Improve the overall efficiency rating of the Production Team* Adhere to the Matrix Way* Build Complex Automated Systems* Fabricate or modify critical machine components according to engineering drawings, manuals, or sketches* Machine precision parts within variance tolerances* Assemble components of a complex machine or assembly according to engineering drawings, manuals, sketches, and verbal instruction* Test, troubleshoot, and debug systems for successful runoff with customers* Collaborate with engineering when changes are needed* Redline changes to detail/assembly drawings and pneumatic schematics* Provide status updates to team leads on assigned projects* Ensure part inventory in accordance with BOM specifications* Solve problems and challenges that arise in the mechanical and assembly processesQualificationsPERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS* Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)* Great work ethic and dependable work history* Innovative problem solver* Organized, creative, results-oriented, process-focused, and attentive to detail* Overtime required as needed* Willing and able to travel up to 15% of the timeREQUIRED EXPERIENCE* 5+ years in automation, manufacturing, or machining* Set up and operate manual mill and lathe* Understand mechanical drawings and pneumatic schematics* Knowledge of and skill with a range of hand tools, power tools, and micrometers* Knowledge of pneumatics, equipment, and machinery* Understand geometric dimensioning/tolerancing and fit of precision parts* General mechanical aptitudePREFERRED EXPERIENCE* Understanding mechanical drawings* Ability to interact with digital drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD* Journeyman toolmaker or equivalent skillsEDUCATION* Associate or Technical degree in a related field is desired* High School diploma or equivalent degree requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* Contribute 45 hours on average per week* Able to work in an office and manufacturing floor environment where a computer, telephone, machines, and other equipment are used as needed to perform duties* Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand, and move from one area to another* Regularly required to work in constricted parts of machine cells* Constant and repeated use of keyboard and mouse* Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift, and move up to 50 lbs
