Volt is hiring an experienced Machine Builder for our client in Greater Peoria, IL. Our client is an industry leader in automation and is expanding to include an individual with passion for new development, and problem solving.In this role you will build machines as this is not for a general assembler or laborer.This is a first shift positionAs a Machine Builder you will have:Proven experience in machine buildingProficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints, familiarity with SolidWorks Viewer a plusFamiliarity with various hand and power tools used in machine assemblyProficient in Shop Equipment (Mill, Lathe, Surface Grinder, etc.)Proficient in fabrication and light weldingProficient in measurement devices (Micrometers, Dial Indicators, Feeler Gages, etc.)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailProficiency in Hydraulic Tube Bending a plusAbility to align/tram components (aligning motors to pumps, indicating guide shafts, etc.)Understanding of preparing components for build (deburring, “bench” assembling, when to paint, etc.)Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift heavy objects (30 lbs.) and stand for long periodsEstimated Duration: 6+ monthsThis is a full-time, Contingent opportunity.The Ideal Candidate will:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsAssemble machinery and equipment according to specificationsUse hand and power tools to construct machine partsPerform quality checks and testing to ensure machinery functions correctlyTroubleshoot and repair any issues with machinery during the assembly processCollaborate with other team members on layout routed systems (Electrical/Pneumatic/Hydraulic)Document assembly processes and report any discrepancies or improvementsAdhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environmentPay Rate: $33-35.00 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
