A metal forming manufacturing company in Berlin is seeking a machine builder/technician to join their team! This is a 1st shift, full time, direct hire opportunity (no temp period). The ideal candiadte will be someone who has experience working with metal forming machines, and also someone who has experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gears, etc.
salary: $63,000 - $74,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities
Fit and assemble metal forming equipment that meets customer and design specifications while minimizing scrap/rework costs.
Perform necessary machine cleaning, painting, pipefitting/plumbing and rigging.
Assist team members with their duties and other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department in support of team and company goals.
Monitor inventory levels and locations, and work with support staff to ensure the availability of inventory needed to produce goods on schedule and according to customer requirements.
Monitor methods, processes and procedures on a continual basis to ensure departmental goals are being met related to efficiency, equipment utilization and time usage in order to maintain or improve cost competitiveness.
Provide quality in all goods and services delivered to internal and external customers through thorough planning, responsible implementation, and continuous improvement.
Follow and continually monitor established safety procedures to assure a clean, safe work environment is promoted and maintained.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that interfaces well with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
Work to and/or help create standard operating procedures (SOP).
Lead, guide, and train junior employees performing related work.
Minimal travel may be required.
