Job DescriptionJob Overview: As a Machine Designer, your ingenuity in designing automation machinery will revolutionize the realm of automation. Immerse yourself in a vibrant team that champions innovation. This is a contract position with one of our top Automotive clients. The contract will initially run for 5-6 months with the potential for extension based on project requirements.Pay: $50/hr-$70/hrJob Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative automation solutions, including dispensing systems, screw fastening mechanisms, servo presses, and manual/semi-automatic work cells.
- Utilize advanced software tools such as SolidWorks, PDM, RoboGuide (Fanuc), and AutoCAD to create detailed designs and simulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components with control systems and robotics.
- Conduct structural analysis (FEA) and tolerance stackup analysis to optimize designs for performance and reliability.
- Develop timing charts and documentation to facilitate efficient communication and implementation of designs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation design, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience with RoboGuide (Fanuc), dispensing systems, screw fastening, servo presses, and Bosch conveyance is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of structural analysis (FEA) and tolerance stackup analysis techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
