Our team is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer II who has experience with big data and would like to get exposure to cybersecurity, machine learning and data science. As part of our team, you will join a team of data scientists, engineers, and security researchers to design, build and maintain big data pipelines, create automation protection solutions, optimize data and ML pipelines for performance and efficiency, and work on the quality and integrity of our infrastructure. We are searching for a Machine Learning Engineer II to join our Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Security Research team. Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Research team is a global team of security researchers, data scientists, engineers, advanced threat hunters, and agile malware responders at the forefront of protecting the Microsoft ecosystem from emerging security threats.
From detecting nation state actors to patient zero ransomware infections, our research team brings deep knowledge of the attacker landscape and tradecraft to create the innovations necessary to uncover and prevent even the most well-funded attacker. Data Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
