Machine OperatorWeir ESCOBucyrus, OHAfternoon & Night ShiftPurpose of Role: The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating a range of production machinery, including CNC machines, drills, grinders, forklifts, and burners, to manufacture high-quality steel parts. We believe in fairness and choose to be honest, transparent and authentic in everything we do.Key Responsibilities:* Machinery Operation: Efficiently operate a variety of production machinery, including CNC machines, drills, grinders, forklifts, and burners, to produce steel parts accurately and safely.* Blueprint Interpretation: Read and analyze blueprints and technical specifications to guide the machining processes and ensure parts meet required dimensions and tolerances.* Quality Control: Monitor production processes and document any exceptions or issues. Address problems promptly to maintain high standards of quality and adhere to safety protocols.* Collaboration: Work closely with shop employees and report directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure smooth operation and effective communication throughout the production process.* Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety cultureJob Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:* Education: High school diploma/GED* Experience: 2 years in Manufacturing industry, a plus, but strong work history will be considered* Other Necessary Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Mathematics, Problem solvingFounded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
