The primary responsibilities for the Machine Operator - Blanker for 2nd Shift is the daily operation of high speed production equipment for the manufacture of cups and containers, understanding and supporting total manufacturing flow in support of meeting/exceeding customer's needswhile meeting company standards for quality, efficiency and safety. 1. Specific Duties
- To feed machines with printed and non-printed material to create blanks without deviating from operating standards.
- To work with the forming team, in order to, achieve manufacturing targets.
- Maintain agreed standard of cleanliness of machine and work area.
- Carry out quality checks in line with procedure.
- Keep machine supplied with materials which may require the use of material handling equipment such as pushcarts or pallet jacks.
- Record and maintain data related to downtime, including amount of time, reason for downtime and actions to correct the problem.
- Keep all waste and scrap levels within company guidelines.
- Identify and report manufacturing problems and initiation of corrective action, if needed.
- Work to EHS, Quality and GMP standards at all times.
- Train team colleagues as requested by supervisor.
- Participate in TPM improvements initiated by the company.
- Responsible for maintaining high quality standards and supporting the food safety/quality systems.
- Responsible for compliance to Seda standards for work safety.
