Machine Operator - Core Build and BrazeApplication Deadline: 9 January 2025Department: Manufacturing / Operations / QualityEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: US - Oklahoma - WilburtonReporting To: Mark EvansCompensation: $18.59 - $20.03 / hourDescriptionResponsible for stacking the laminations to insert into the core, then braze, cut, and broach the core.Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Franklin Electric Quality System.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Production Supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Meets daily production schedule as assigned.
  • Stacks the appropriate laminations and inserts into the core using a press.
  • Brazes the joints at both ends of the core.
  • Broaches the core.
  • Performs required quality checks to ensure specifications are met.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
  • Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks.
  • Ability to work alone effectively under stress and in situations dangerous to self or others.
  • Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required).
  • 6 months or more experience working in a manufacturing type position (preferred).
