Machine Operator / Heavy Equipment Operator FULL-TIME

$24/hr

· Operates heavy and on track equipment to compact earth fills, foundation forms, ballast, and finished road materials, according to grade specifications· Replaces materials such as rail, ties, switch components, crossing planks, ballast, and other track materials· Shall PM equipment assigned to operate before use· Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures· Performs equipment safety and maintenance checks, making emergency adjustments as necessary· Takes actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects· Studies instructions, plans, and diagrams to establish work requirements· Drives machines onto truck trailers· Keeps records of material and equipment usage and problems encountered

*Compensation: $20-$24 per hour based on experience*

Shift start: 6:30AM Shift length: 10 hours Monday - Thursday (4x10 hrs)

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen (cannabis included)
• Must pass background check
• Can lift 90 lbs
• Must be at least 18+ years old

Railroad industry experience, including track maintenance & construction, is preferred. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.Track Inspection Guideline Certification is preferred.Must have the ability to read and understand specific documents including schedules, standard railway plans, and specifications.
