Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Machine Operator I is a key member of the Elliott Manufacturing Assembly department. Under direct to moderate supervision, you will be responsible for setting up and operating all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment. You undertake production tasks in accordance with work instructions while maintaining company safety and quality expectations. The Machine Operator I will perform basic maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot problems, or arrange for supervisor to have equipment repaired or serviced by appropriate technicians. Have the ability to set up and operate specific Machinery, produce parts to specifications and see that the quality standards are met. RequirementsESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:•Under direct to moderate supervision, set up, operate, and program various Manufacturing Machines (methods, tooling, and fixtures to assure proper methodology). •Demonstrate a high standard of work ethics, by example. •Promote methods for efficient operation. •Use standardized guidelines for setups, tooling, fixtures and equipment. •Promote a safe, clean work environment. •Maintain the necessary paperwork. •Ability to make setups (methods, tooling, and fixtures to assure proper methodology). •Input to revise methods (setups and fixturing to correct deficiencies). •Check and report repairs and make necessary adjustments to tools and fixtures before returning to assigned storage area. •Suggest improvements to implement cost reductions. •Ability to use and understand inspection tools and equipment. •Knowledge of blueprints and tolerancing, marking, etc. •Experience setting up and operating various equipment and machinery. •May be required to work overtime. •Meet work order timelines for on time deliveries. •Must be self-sufficient & team oriented. •Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.WORKING ENVIRONMENT:•Will work independently in a Production environment on machinery within the Assembly department but will collaborate with other employees to complete tasks as assigned. Will spend most of their shift on their feet, operating machinery and doing assembly and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
