Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, or storage racks using the forklift.
- This may involve positioning the forklift's forks under pallets, crates, or other types of containers and lifting them to move or stack the materials.
- Safely transporting materials within the warehouse or distribution center.
- This includes maneuvering the Turret Truck (TSP) through narrow aisles, around obstacles, and properly stacking or shelving the materials according to the storage plan or designated locations.
- Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- This includes following established guidelines for speed limits, load capacities, and pedestrian traffic. You may also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct before/after operational inspections of the equipment.
- Notify management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures in the distribution center.
- Collaborate with management and other members of the warehouse team to ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including sweeping and mopping floors, removing debris and clutter, and properly disposing of packaging materials.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned -assisting with other warehouse tasks, such as picking and packing orders, conducting inventory counts, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.Education and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of PIT experience operating a YALE Turret Truck
- Experience using a RF scanner gun.
- Proficiency in reading orders and accurate documentation.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills are needed.
- Adhering to all safety requirements; utilizing a safety-first mindset.
- WMS experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
- Basic knowledge of Warehouse organization procedures.
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Able to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Able to lift and move heavy merchandise items.
- Ability to work on weekends, as needed.
