Job Duties - Comply with all plant safety rules and guidelines
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Load/Unload material from various machines while using overhead cranes
- Operate various structural steel fabrication machinery, including but not limited to
- Peddinghaus Angle Lines
- Peddinghaus Drill Lines/Band Saws
- CNC Plasma Tables
- Ironworkers
- Brake Presses
- Troubleshooting machines
- Read a Tape Measure
- Ability to identify material shapes, lengths, and heat numbers.
- Read cut lists or job reports to determine what needs to be completed.
- Observe machine operation to detect material defects or machine malfunctions
- Maintain all production and quality related reporting
- Responsible for the overall quality of the material and productivity of the line
Job Requirements - High school diploma or GED is necessary
- 1-3 years in manufacturing industry is preferred. If applicants do not have manufacturing experience, on-the-job training will be offered.
- Previous machine operation, material handling, production or other warehouse related experience is mandatory.
- Basic math, measurement, computer skills, and ability to follow directions.
- NMP employees must be able to repeatedly lift up to 10lbs and occasionally lift up to 30lbs as needed.
- Ability to follow all safety and health regulations
