Shifts Available:
- Shift 1: 5:30AM - 4:00PM, Monday - Thursday 10-Hour Shifts, 4-Days Per Week)
- Candidates need to be open to overtime as there is both voluntary and mandatory OT at times, as the business needs dictate
Pay Rate Range:$18.00 - $24.00, depending on experiece and longevity in previous applicable roles
Position Overview:As a Machine Operator at Plug Power, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machines to manufacture high-quality components that support Plug Power's cutting-edge clean energy solutions. This position requires attention to detail, safety awareness, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machinery to produce parts and components according to specifications.
- Perform setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards and resolve any inconsistencies.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Complete production logs, and track machine output and efficiency.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and report equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- CNC Operating experience HIGHLY preferred
- Basic mechanical skills and understanding of machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and product specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials.
- Work is conducted in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery noise and occasional temperature variations.
