Job Description:
Start your new career as a 2nd shift Machine Operator with MAU at our client in Seneca, SC. As a CNC Operator, you will operate conventional, special purpose, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines, including lathes, grinders, milling machines, and drill presses to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic components. This position requires 6 months of manufacturing experience, offering an excellent opportunity to start your career as a CNC Machine Operator. What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 6+ months of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Advanced math skills, with the ability to calculate ratios, proportions, geometrics, and trigonometry is a plus
  • Experience in a fast-paced, industrial environment using Lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability and willingness to train on and perform all assembly line operations within the company manufacturing process
  • Strong safety aptitude with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • High sense of urgency, with an initiative to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to perform required tasks while being exposed to transmission fluids, standing for the duration of the shift, lifting 35 pounds, climbing onto and off of lifts, walking long distances, being exposed to varying temperatures (non-climate-controlled environment), bending, crouching, twisting, and performing repetitive motions
What You'll Do as a CNC Machine Operator
  • Start and observe machine operations, detecting any malfunctions
  • Verify conformance of finished components to specifications
  • Load and unload CNC machinery
  • Pack out finished material into the dunnage area
  • Load and unload CMM/Measurement systems
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area per 5S standards
  • Move materials, as needed, using pallet jacks, carts, etc.
  • Read and understand all safety and internal procedures and policies
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
