Position Title: Machine OperatorWage: $19.50-$20.67/hourShift: 12-hoursQPS Employment Group is hiring a Machine Operator for a company in Madison, WI. This is a contract to hire role.Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot equipment to produce thermoformed parts to specification- Machine readiness - inspect machinery, equipment and tooling prior to set-up; identify issues which adversely affect product requirements- Identify nonconforming materials/products and work with shift leader for resolution- Ensure part quality meets established standards and follow Good Manufacturing Practices- Complete all shift documentation/paperwork- Shift hand-off: go over job status and updates with incoming shift- Participate in safety programs, follow all established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPEMachine Operator Requirements:- Lift up to 10lbs continuously (cases of product and hand tools)- Lift 11-30lbs regularly (3-4 times per shift)- Lift 31-50lbs occasionally (1-2lbs per shift)- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and stand for long periods of time- Ability to work in warm environments- 1 year of manufacturing or related experience- Mechanical aptitude- Ability to read, write, and speak English to meet training, safety, and quality requirements- Basic math skills- Computer and software skillsQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
