DescriptionChief Buildings is seeking a 2nd shift Machine Operator to join our team. This position will perform general machine operation, including set-up of equipment, processing of parts, and final part inspection on various assigned equipment.Job Responsibilities:
- Safety is a relentless journey at Chief Buildings. Candidates must follow proven safety practices, look out for teammates and seek improvements that will enhance our safety culture.
- Basic understanding of hand tools including tape measure, squares, and protractors.
- Metal fabrication and overhead crane experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings.
- Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- Performs all duties in safe and efficient manner, utilizing required safety equipment. Keeps work area neat and orderly. Reports unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Maintains compliance to all quality control procedures and standards.
- Maximize quantity of assigned work completed.
- Fully knowledgeable of the capacities and proper operation of assigned equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance of assigned machines.
- Properly complete all routine paperwork and computer data entry related to the job responsibilities.
- May operate one or more of the following: punch press, shear, threader, or iron worker.
- Responsible for tooling set-up, if required.
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
Shift:
- 2nd shift - 4:30pm-3:00am.
