Machine Operator Summary: The Machine Operator will be responsible for the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the extrusion blow molding machines and related auxiliary equipment.Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operating extrusion blow molding equipment as assigned and as necessary to produce quality products efficiently
- Responsible for performing autonomous maintenance activities on extrusion blow molding equipment daily ensuring the equipment is adequately maintained
- Help establish and maintain area and extrusion blow molding equipment 5s activities
- Will adhere to all safety requirements for extrusion machine operations and related OSHA standards
- Interface with extrusion blow molding manager and associated support employees
- Responsible for maintaining established production and quality standards
- Participate in daily planning activities as requested
- Responsible for reporting all performance and quality issues related to the extrusion machine and its products
- Will adhere to all company policies related to employee requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Machine Operator Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 3+ years machine operating experience preferred
- 3+ years related extrusion blow molding experience preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general machine operations
Machine Operator Other Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of operational variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
