DescriptionThe Gund Company has an immediate opening at our Milwaukee, WI manufacturing plant for a CNC Machine Operator to join our team!Shift: Second Shift 2:30pm - 11:00pm M-FHourly Wage: $20.00 - $23.00/hour based on experience plus a 15% shift premium.Plant/Work Location: 809 Philip Drive Waukesha, WI 53186Department: FabricationThe Gund Company is the industry leader in manufacturing and fabricating customized insulation components (parts) for multiple applications. We manufacture and fabricate custom parts from drawings and sample parts (reverse engineering). The Gund Company is in the business of engineered material manufacturing.We are looking for an experienced CNC set-up Operator. Haas experience preferred.Job Summary* Implement the Production Fulfillment Process for the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements.* Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company standards.* Set up, adjust, and identify programming, and operate numerically controlled machine tools.* Operators may run more than one machine simultaneously.Job Duties* Operates multiple types of fabrication equipment and tools using CNC machining centers to manufacture a variety of custom parts.* Follow written instructions and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications.* Checks parts for conformance to customer specifications.* Maintains count and perform packaging duties as required.* Participates in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.Requirements* 2 years of machine operation experience, required.* A High School Diploma or GED, preferred, not required.Prior experience in a manufacturing industry, preferred.Work Environment* Not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions.* Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.* Frequent exposure to fumes/dust particles, may require use of respirators or other types of PPE.* May come in contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.* Employees must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.Benefits* Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays* Comprehensive, cost-effective employee benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability* 401(k) retirement savings program with 50% employer match (up to 6% of contributions)* ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) - The Gund Company is 30% employee-owned - Shares are awarded each year based on profitability with no out-of-pocket investment.Reasonable accommodation(s) for the Machine Operator may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by those assigned to the position of Machine Operator.
