NOW HIRING: MACHINE OPERATORS in Chesapeake, VA!Manufacturing Support Technician (Machine Operator)
  • $17.00 an hour
  • Temp to Hire
  • Rotating 12-hour shifts 5:30 AM-6PM; 5:30PM-6 AM

The company is well-established, growing, and provides a clean work environment with great pay and benefits upon permanent hire.As a Manufacturing Support Technician (Machine Operator), you will play a vital role in production process. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing.   • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
  • Personal Reliable Transportation
  • Promotes positive team interactions to support unified approach to achieving company goals.
  • Assists other operational groups such as finishing, packaging, maintenance and quality, when required.
  • Responds to line upsets to assist Rear Forming with securing the Forming Line.
  • Proficient in the safe use of forklifts, clamp trucks, motorized handcarts and other material handling equipment, as required.
  • Helps promote continuous improvement through involvement in team meetings, safety initiatives, task forces, focus teams, etc.
  • Key element in performance review.
  • Maintains housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Job Responsibilities of a Machine Operator:
  • Set up machines based on specifications and production requirements.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently during production runs.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Record production data and report any issues or defects.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
