We are in need of several production machine operators in our Laid Scrim department!Night Shift (5PM to 5AM) w/ training on Day ShiftStarting pay is $22.00/hrWeekday Shift Differential of $0.55/hr for Night ShiftCertain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.Is this job for you?ESSENTIAL:Basic operating knowledge and understanding of manufacturing operationsPerform accurate standard and metric measurements and understand standard to metric conversionsRead, understand and execute all customer order specificationsComplete production related paperwork accurately and legiblyAnalytical, problem solving skills and troubleshooting skills are a necessityMechanical aptitude and abilityEffectively utilize hand tools including, but not limited to: scissors, utility knife, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.Clear and effective communication abilityAbility to effectively interact with all shift personnelHigh School Diploma or equivalentThorough understanding of safety rules and the safe operation of production machineryDemonstrated ability of cooperation, leadership and willingness to assist fellow employees in a team-based work environmentPERFORMANCE:Satisfactory attendance and performance record within past 12-month periodMust be in current position for at least twelve (12) monthsSatisfactory completion of associated training programsWillingness to work overtime and at times on short noticeWilling, able and flexible to work 12-hour shift scheduleAbility to perform the responsibilities of the position including times when there is limited or no supervisionPrevious Manufacturing experience and length of time with Saint-Gobain will be strongly consideredPHYSICAL:Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions.
