DescriptionSeeking a Machine Operator - Production Heat Transfer/EmbroideryThe Machine Operator will process orders requiring heat transfer applications on various products and operate embroidery machines on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include cutting heat transfers, loading garments, applying heat transfers, folding, and inspecting products. The role also involves hooping garments and ensuring proper operation of embroidery machines, with a focus on timely machine observation during manufacturing. Additional duties include maintaining a neat work area and assisting with cleaning finished garments as needed.When: Part-time (will work out schedule with supervisor - at least 20 hours/week)Where: 104 Independence Way, Coatesville, PA 19320RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrange layout including new, in process and completed orders.
- Hoop garments as required
- Interpret work orders for production.
- Match the product description on the order to the supplied material.
- Communicate with internal staff to facilitate the approval of artwork placement.
- Read orders for all information associated with heat transfer or embroidered design.
- Match the product description on the order to the supplied materials.
- Check the design on the order making sure it matches the design provided.
- Check all spelling on the provided job order.
- Complies with all Witmer Public Safety Group Policies and Procedures.
- Performs any other duties or projects assigned by the management team.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to follow directions required.
- Capable of working under time constraints.
- Ability to decipher and match colors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working on PCs required.
- Knowledge of fabrics, colors, and textiles a plus.
- Ability to meet all required deadlines; ability to change priorities quickly as needed; ability to independently handle stress and maintain a mature problem-solving demeanor.
