Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Machine Operator for our Robot Weld Cell in Bellingham, WA!Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their waste into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.We are seeking a Machine Operator for our Robot Weld Cell with a strong mechanical aptitude and expertise in welding, fabricating, or machine operation. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with a strong background in machine operation.We currently have two shifts available for this position:Days: Monday - Thursday 5:30am to 4:00pmSwing: Monday - Thursday 3:00pm to 2:00amBecause we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:* Operate Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) such as those found on CNC controllers or similar machines with confidence* Regularly use forklifts and lifting devices to load, transport, and manipulate parts* Ensure safety in operations around robots, lasers, and welders; use lock-out/tag-out procedures as appropriate* Working knowledge of GD&T, best practice machining principles* Maintain, clean, and organize work areas, ensuring compliance with 5S and HazMat practices* Participate in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes* Work closely with managers and shift leads to ensure that production schedule and quality standards are met* Maintain accurate inventory counts and communicate with procurement and planning staff* Work individually and within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and fabricators* Actively contribute to solving difficult yet exciting technical challenges* Comply with all company policies, safety protocols, and operational standards* Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance* Perform other duties as assignedThis position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.BENEFITS* Medical, dental, vision insurance and 401k with employer matching* Paid time off and paid holidays (including 2 floating holidays)* Disability Insurance as well as Life/AD&D Insurance* FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account)* Tuition reimbursement* Casual work attireEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE* 3+ years' experience in precision machining, fabrication or mechanical assembly* Strong technical skills and mechanical understanding* Experience operating automated or CNC equipment* Exposure to fast paced shop environments working closely with technical teams* Knowledge and experience with safety standards, including lock-out/tag-out procedures* Forklift certification or willingness to obtain* Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED* Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English languageADDITIONAL INFORMATION* Wage range for this role is between $28.00-$40.00/hourly, (+$2/hr Shift Differential for Swing)* Discretionary bonus* Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay.* The range provided is Sedron's estimate of the base compensation for this role.
