Job Title: Machine Operator - Plastic ManufacturingJob DescriptionThis position is responsible for producing plastic sheet products through various extrusion and/or value-added processes and for packaging products to customer specifications. Responsibilities include startup/shutdown, troubleshooting, QC inspection, proper packaging and material handling, and training of processes.
Responsibilities- Perform all duties and tasks in a safe manner.
- Operate various extrusion machines to produce and maintain quality plastic sheet products.
- Meet production and quality standards.
- Clean and maintain components and equipment.
- Band and wrap finished product.
- Perform quality checks and complete inspection records as required.
- Actively participate in plant housekeeping activities.
- Handle materials using a forklift.
- Effectively operate the plant manufacturing processes as evaluated by the process checklists.
- Complete the Production Operator progression and process checklists from Entry level Operator 1 to higher levels, becoming a subject matter expert and training others.
- Operate assigned processes without support.
Essential Skills- 1-2 years of machine operating experience within the plastic industry.
- Ability to lift 40-50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable learning how to drive a forklift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with extrusion and troubleshooting processes.
- Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot various machines.

Work EnvironmentWork in a very clean environment with 32 total employees. The company offers various shifts (1st: 6am-2pm, 2nd: 2pm-10pm with an additional $1.00, 3rd: 10pm-6am with an additional $2.00) and optional overtime every other weekend.
