  • Experience in a machine tool and/or Job Shop environment
  • Strong shop math skills
  • Able to inspect and verify close tolerances
  • Experience with heat treated materials
  • Knowledge of basic shop math and its applications
  • Regularly lift 40 to 50 pounds
  • Long periods of standing or sitting in a manufacturing shop environment
  • Must have ability to see detail at a close range
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Manufacturing: 1 year preferred
  • Ability tor read blueprints preferred
Responsibilities
  • You will contribute to the company's overall goals and production by delivering on the following main responsibilities:
  • Operating a straightening machine tools including hot straightening and processing parts according to plans and specifications
  • Adhere to quality process by marking the part as described on plans and SOP's.
  • Adapt to production requirements by prioritizing high demand parts
  • Inspect and measure part to determine conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments such as gauges and micrometers
  • Lift and position work pieces, manually and secure them safely
  • Study prints, work orders and determine product specifications
  • Complete internal documentation for each job as required
  • Observe machine operations to detect any problems, making necessary adjustments to correct problems
  • Perform operator level machine maintenance if needed
  • Follow all safety rules and contribute as a team player
  • Any additional task as requested by organization
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents including written instructions
  • Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it
  • Knowledge of machine and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
  • Demonstrates persistence when tasked with tedious work assignments
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
