Journeyman Maintenance Technician

This full-time role is a part of our Elkton team and reports to the Trades Supervisors.
Shift and Pay:
Hourly rate is $30.61
2nd shift - 3:30pm - 12am - $0.60/hr shift premium
3rd shift - 10:30pm - 7am - $0.75/hr shift premium
Job Summary:
* Diagnose malfunctioning machines such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables
* Diagnose and replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices
* Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other personnel from other affected departments including production, maintenance, and tool room to diagnose malfunction
* Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas
* Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems
* Removes and replaces worn or broken parts
Required experience:
* Working on large metal stamping presses
* Working with robotic welding machines (Fanuc)
* Experience in a manufacturing environment working with steel, iron, aluminum, and other various metals
* Maintenance Tech Journeyman card or 8 years of verifiable experience
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Proven written and verbal communication skills
