Are you ready for your career at CI?Position Overview: Coordinate the flow of material into and through various manufacturing departments in order to maximize customer satisfaction by achieving on-time, superior quality shipments.Essential Functions:Obtain needed material, tooling, prints, routings necessary to coordinate production schedule flowExpedite required information or material by contacting Purchasing, Programming, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling, or other departments as required or directed by SupervisorAssist and support direct labor co-workers to assure efficient and timely processing of production requirements through production work centersPull parts for various production and assembly areas, load parts, ship partsPackage boxes, crates, tubes, etc. for shipping by UPS, FedEx or truck freightPack, shrink-wrap and load new machines on carrierRun mobile equipment including forklift when needed to move or accumulate material or tooling required for productionBuild crates, wood boxesInform supervision daily of problems that may delay on-time production schedulingReceive production order, check or note stock location and date of entry into area, mark parts as to number identityCompile production needs from work week schedules, priorities and information from other clerks, and finalize backlog of work behind each work center in assigned departmentPost work schedules and expedite material required for production to work centersTake periodic inventory; maintain proper inventory levels on specified items; maintain status reports on specified production partsMaintain a clean and orderly work area and perform all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established quality proceduresAccountability for accurate loose ship parts packaging for New Machine shipments & repair ordersDemonstrated ability to safely rig, lift, and insure proper securement of load for shipping all CI productsDocument, via photograph, all machine shipments prior to leaving CI facilityAct as temporary Lead-Person when neededWorking knowledge of, and ability to lead Operational Excellence eventsAbility to work with outside logistics personnel to accomplish daily goals, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitudeWork ExperienceRequired Experience: 1 to 2 yearsPrior work experience in a production or industrial environmentClerical skills including PC experienceAbility to read and understand assembly printsBasic reading and writing proficiencyAbility to climb and perform work on a ladderAbility to multitaskAbility to interpret prints as requiredAbility to design & manufacture any required crating or packagingPrior shipping or receiving experienceForklift experienceUPS and FedEx shipping knowledgeTools, Technology and Equipment Used: Power and hand tools, nail gun, forklift, overhead remote crane, side loader, heat gun, ladders, scale, PC terminalPhysical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Physical Demands: This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders dailyThe employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, to reach with hands and arms, to climb or balance, to talk and hearThe employee must regularly lift, move or carry up to 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrationThe employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditionsThe noise level in the work environment can be loud at timesEducation:Required Degree Level: High School or equivalent.EOE including Disabilities/VetsThis role does not offer sponsorship employment benefits and being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
