We are currently seeking experienced Machine Shop Welders/Fabricators for a client in Jasper, Alabama.Job Title: Machine Shop WelderCompany: United Trades of AmericaLocation: Jasper, ALJob Type: Full-time**Position Summary:**We are looking for skilled and experienced Machine Shop Welders/Fabricators to join our team at United Trades of America. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal parts and products according to specifications. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure the highest quality standards are met. **Key Responsibilities:**- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery.- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on a variety of metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.- Fabricate metal components and assemblies using cutting, bending, and shaping techniques.- Inspect welded joints and components for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments as needed.- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve welding and fabrication issues.- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulations.- Maintain a clean and organized work area.- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of production.**Qualifications:**- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.- Proven experience as a welder/fabricator in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.- Strong understanding of welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings.- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding machinery effectively.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues.- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.**Preferred Skills:**- Experience working with industrial chains and heavy machinery components.- Knowledge of CNC machinery and metalworking equipment.- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is a plus.**Compensation:**- Pay is to be determined and will be based on experience and qualifications.How to Apply:If you are a skilled Welder/Fabricator with machine shop experience and a passion for delivering high-quality craftmanship, we want to hear from you!
