Job Summary: Perform machine setups for product changes by changing out tooling. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Verify that setups are done properly to ensure reliable operation and quality parts.
- Assist operators with machine issues, which lead to troubleshooting opportunities.
- Troubleshoot sensors and other mechanical issues that arise during setups and production.
- Work with engineers to record proper setup parameters and improve the manufacturing process.
- Work with engineers to do validation runs on new products.
- Perform weekly, monthly, and annual PMs as scheduled.
- Light repairs of the machines.
- Depending on workload, this position will be required to run production periodically.
- Perform quality checks.
- Other tasks and assignments as directed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability and desire to learn how to accurately setup machines and improve processes.
- Ability to accurately measure to ensure production of good parts.
- Demonstrated history of problem solving.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma
- Mechanical experience
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, and sitting; seeing; hearing and listening; clear speech; dexterity and use of hands and fingers.
- Lifting-up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must wear safety gear, eye protection, hearing protection and feet protection.
