Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Tool Electrician/ Panel Wirer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wiring, assembling, and troubleshooting electrical systems in various machine tools according to specified blueprints and technical instructions. This role requires a strong electrical aptitude, precision, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities (may include but not limited to)
- Install and wire electrical components on machine tools following engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Ensure all electrical systems are correctly configured, aligned, and securely connected.
- Test and calibrate electrical systems in machine tools to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve electrical assembly processes and product designs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Recognize problems with electrical designs and parts, take appropriate corrective action to resolve.
- Recommend improvements for work area, products and processes.
- Perform proto type work with limited Engineering and minimal supervision.
- Perform and/or oversee machine installations in the field.
- Analyze designs for correctness, functionality and cost effectiveness.
- Perform Panel component changes as well as build panels.
Required Education/Skills/Experience
- Associates degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school: or 3 to 5 years of related experience or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience as a machine tool electrician or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical skills and a thorough understanding of electrical components and wiring technique
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
