Machining Quality Technician

Job Description:
The Machining Quality Technician collaborates with engineering and production to ensure quality standards are in place and being followed. Helps to implement methods and procedures for inspecting and evaluating the conformance of all products. The Machining Quality Technician role approves the first article following each CNC machine setup and sampling of finished products by confirming specifications, conducts visual and measurement tests, returns products for re-work, and confirms re-work. Ensures that all non-conforming parts and assemblies are identified and documented with containment.

Machining Quality Technician Responsibilities:
Uses the following gauges: Micrometers, Depth micrometers, Inside Micrometers, Calipers, Thread Gages (Ring and Plug), Height Gages, Surface Plates, Bore Micrometers, Hardness Tester, Profilometers, Oasis Measuring Machine, Indicators.
Read and fully understands technical drawings and control plans
In-process inspections
Maintain QC area using 5S standards.
Demonstrates good organization skills
Communicates professionally and effectively to all levels of the organization
Compensation
Hourly non-exempt position, including health, vision, dental, & disability insurance, PTO, and 401K benefits.
Shift premium for 2nd shift and Weekend shift
Compensation details: 23-24.15 Hourly Wage
