The Machinist will provide machining services forproduction and the Technical Services group in support of production andfacilities machine repairs and improvements. The Machinist also supports with Development &Application projectdevelopment for New Product Initiatives. Responsibilities &Duties
- Performs set up of lathes, mills, grinders, etc. for precision machining operations.
- Performs standard maintenance on lathes, mills, grinders as per schedule.
- Works from drawings, sketches, and measurements to transfer information to proper machine set ups.
- Utilizing machine set up from drawings and sketches, fabricates parts to specifications.
- Works with Maintenance Technicians to identify worn machine parts to fabricate new.
- Assists maintenance technicians in troubleshooting machine malfunctions, providing ideas for improvement.
- Fabricates components in a precision fashion to support proper machine operation.
- Maintains workshop in a clean, orderly fashion in accord with 6S principles.
- Always utilizes correct PPE for general and specialized job functions.
- Perform other duties as required based on businessneeds.
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree or minimum two years of appropriate trade school, or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of one year of demonstrated machining experience.
- Ability to lift 50Lbs on a continuous basis.
