Job Purpose:Machining Technician/CNC Operator is responsible for assembling machine components, as well as erecting, testing, teardown and shipping Pipe Machines and other equipment. Key Accountabilities:Follow manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner under the direction of the supervisor, group leader or experienced associates in the area.Perform general clean up to keep work area clean and organizedSet up, adjust and operate CNC equipment for metal cutting (turning or milling)Measure and install tools into equipmentPerform self-inspection for the parts resulted from the machining operationWork from blueprints and process control documentsResponsible for quality of parts producedResponsible for documentation and identification generated or related to production of the jobWork within close tolerancesWork in a safe mannerRequired Education & Preferred Certifications2+ years of experience in similar roleRequired Knowledge / SkillsAbility to read and interpret routine instructions. Ability to read drawings & perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to operate CNC equipment (turning or milling). Ability to use measurement instrumentsBasic computer skills
