Order#: NY1507888Machinist / Coil FabricatorSummary: Utilize your skills as a machinist to interpret drawings, machine parts to manufacture and fabricate custom induction coils from copper tubing, copper plate, G10, etc. This is a great opportunity for someone who can think in three dimensions and does not want to spend all day just watching a machine make chips.Responsibilities: Manufacture and fabrication of busswork necessary for internal production of RF induction heating systems Build & repair coils for both new and repair orders Machine parts for production runs and prototype work Incoming mechanical inspection on various out-sourced parts for coils and busswork Assist and train employees on equipment, when necessary Authority to stop employees from using machinery when an unsafe condition exists. Interface with internal customers to fulfill customer ordersEducation / Experience: High School diploma or GED Minimum of 2 4 years of relevant experienceRequired Skills / Abilities: Machining Certificate or equivalent Operate Proto Trak Mill, lathe, band saws, grinder and drill press for production and prototype work Must be able to braze and/or solder Strong mechanical aptitude Read and understand schematics, drawings and blueprints Must be able to conceive and build mandrels for the manufacture of complex coils CNC programming at the machine
