And we want youMachinist IIThis member of the manufacturing team will fabricate helicopter parts / accessories to engineering drawings.Candidates selected for this position will be offered a weekday (Monday-Thursday) shift or weekend shift (Friday-Sunday). Shift will be based on preference (if available) and business need.What you'll be doing as a Machinist II
  • Use manual mills and manual lathes with limited supervision.
  • Use basic measuring equipment (ex. calipers, micrometers) to assist in the machining process, as well as more extensive measuring equipment (bore, depth gauges) as needed.
  • Perform first piece inspection of others' work.
  • Maintain tolerance of +/- .01 with minimal errors.
  • Program and operate CNC press break as required.
  • Demonstrate safe work habits and always wear proper PPE.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills You Bring To this Role
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints/manufacturing drawings, and work orders.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic understanding of manual mills and/or manual lathes along with their appropriate use and operation.
What you need to be successful
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years related experience machining parts in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree in machine technology
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to wear hearing and eye protection equipment.
  • Required to kneel, squat, stand, sit, and carry throughout the day.
  • Must be on feet for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.
