Job Description:
- Looking for a self-motivated machinist who can operate as lead person in our LA location.
- Instruction and training of our products will be supplied but a general knowledge of machining is required.
- Client is a service company and hours worked is often driven by our customer's requirements.
- The ability to interact with customers and take instructions from the Service Center Manager will be required.
- Acting as lead requires the ability to instruct employees, in a positive way, as to the duties required of them and the assistance needed.
Requirements:
- Starts and operates typical manual machines including, but not limited to lathes, mills, drills, grinders, and saws.
- Sharpens tools.
- Reads and works from prints, process sheets, written and verbal instructions to tolerances of .0005”.
- Uses gauges, calipers, micrometers to measure work.
- Works with all metallic and non-metallic materials.
- Works with minimum supervision.
- Must be able to fill out inspection reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Broad knowledge of the Company and the Compression manufacturing industry to include experience in manufacturing and reconditioning of compressor components.
Education:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
