- Follow all applicable policies and procedures and ensure safety rules are observe
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, goggles, gloves, ear plugs, metatarsal safety shoes, etc.) as required
- Required to work overtime schedule as requested to meet production needs based on established overtime procedures
- Operate machinist tools including CNC machines
- Use precision measuring devices to effectively machine parts
- Deburr parts
- Participate in problem solving, continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback in areas of People, Quality, Velocity and Cost
- Use blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specifications
- Use and on for identification of variance from standard work
- Be available to assist in other areas as needed
- Participate in activities and exercises in support of the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) - 5S, RIWs, etc.
Required Qualifications:- Trade School Certificate, Associates Degree in Machine Technology, or High School Diploma/GED equivalent and minimum 2 years experience in setting up and operating CNC machines
- Knowledge of how to set and use gauges such as calipers, bore micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for datum lines and tolerances
- Ability to interpret GD&T
- Understand and use of measuring devices
- Use of advance shop math
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Willing to work any shift
- Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written

Summary Pay Range:$23.00 - $39.72Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
