Manufacturing Division located in Andrews, SC., just south of Myrtle Beach, SC is currently looking for an experienced Machinist, Mechanical Engineering degree is not required but versatile background in machine shop knowledge is. This candidate's background should have a strong understanding of CNC machines and basic associated programming related skills, interpretation of drawings, experience in Auto-Cad or Turbo-Cad. The candidate should also have experience with milling machines, lathes, lapping machines and punch-presses and also show a strong ability to design and fabricate mechanical fixtures as well as have a basic understanding of Metallurgy. Reports To: Business Operations Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to pass a Drug Test.
- Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Machine shop knowledge.
- Strong understanding of CNC machines and basic associated programming related skills and interpretation of drawings.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints and samples to ensure accurate production.
- Experience in Auto-Cad or Turbo-Cad.
- Experience with milling machines, lathes, lapping machines and punch-presses.
- Ability to design and fabricate mechanical fixtures.
- Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
- Basic understanding of Metallurgy.
- Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
- Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete an assignment.
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed.
