Pitsco Human Resources Department Job AnnouncementJob Title:MachinistReports to:Machine Shop and Plastics SupervisorDepartment:Machine ShopWage:Depending on ExperienceSummary:The Machinist machines and/or modifies parts for proprietary products to specification and within a reasonable time frame. Repairs and/or rebuilds tools and equipment in cooperation with maintenance. Designs and builds specialized tooling as required to produce parts in an efficient manner. These tasks are accomplished by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Reading and accurately interpreting blueprintsSetting up and operating all types of manual machine tools including CNC lathes and CNC millsAccurately using typical machinists measuring devicesUsing attention to detail when producing parts and monitoring tolerances as each job progressesWorking cooperatively with the manufacturing team including engineers and assembly personnelRecognizing and adhering to proper PPE and safety guidelinesMaintaining clean and orderly work areasReading, filling out, and completing work orders accuratelyQualifications/Requirements:High school diplomaThree to five years experience preferredEstablished comfort level with power-driven equipmentDemonstrated mechanical aptitudeConscientious, detail-oriented worker who is self-motivatedAbility to occasionally lift and carry up to 75 poundsAbility to be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation including ability to walk, balance, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, and stoop[]{sty= }
