Job Title:Machinist
Reporting To:Technical Manager
Work Schedule:Onsite - Blacksburg, VATo be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one-year completion of an approved vocational program in Machine Technology or equivalent
- Proficiency in general mathematics
- Knowledge of machine shop gauges and machines
As a Machine Operator, you will:- Perform basic drill press, lathe, milling machine, and grinding operations
- Responsible for the care and application of turning/plunge and form tools
- Operate shear vise, tapping machine (manual and power), and understand different styles and types of taps and dies (metric and standard)
- Operate different types of power hand tools, grinders, drills, belt sanders, disc sanders, sand, and bead blasters
- Operate and understand power band saw, cut off saw, proper selection of speeds, feeds, tooth size, blade welding, guide setting, and blade replacement
- Complete required paperwork

Salary Range Transparency:Blacksburg, VA $17.00-$19.00 Hourly
