Recruiting Solutions is seeking Machinists for a Direct Hire opportunity in the Tool Room with a leading fire protection products manufacturer in Liberty, South Carolina! This position offers competitive starting pay of $23 to $28 per hour, with a shift differential of $1.50 per hour for 2nd shift and $2.50 per hour for 3rd shift. Machinist Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan machining by analyzing work orders, blueprints, sketches, models, and descriptions to determine dimensions and setup requirements.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material as guides for subsequent machining.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, depth, and angle of cut, and enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control.
  • Perform heat treating of parts.
  • Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjust machine controls as needed.
  • Measure and inspect tools to verify conformance of finished work.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Production, Programmers, and Toolmakers to resolve machining and assembly problems.
  • Promote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in compliance with safety rules, procedures, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Machinist Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in CNC Machining and/or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Machining and/or CNC Programming.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong critical thinking skills using logic and analysis.
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting blueprints, sketches, models, and descriptions.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Ability to apply understanding of machine systems to design, fabricate, maintain, and identify improvement possibilities.
  • Working knowledge of machine troubleshooting and solutions.
  • Solid understanding of mathematics and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Parts Management System, CMMS System, Creo, and CAD Software.
