Primary operations on Bridgeport/Prototrak machine. However, operating other basic machine shop equipment may be required.Responsibilities:Read blueprints to determine specifications and requirements necessary to create a quality work piece.Position and align work piece for machining. Assist with the assembly of precision fitted parts as applicable. Position and align work piece for machining using hand tools and overhead hoist.Know machining concepts relative to speeds/feeds as they apply to different material types. Know machining concepts relative to speeds/feeds as they apply to different material types.Verify quality of work piece using measuring instruments, such as callipers, gauges, & micrometres.Perform daily maintenance of equipment and maintain a clean working environment.Skills/Knowledge:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
