We are currently in search for a Machinist/Fabricator which is part of the Plant Service team. This position involves machining parts for stock, repairing parts, welding, fabricating and working machinery parts. Responsibilities: • Operating machinery including but not limited to a manual lathe, milling machine, band saw, drill press, belt sander, chop saw, etc. • Use precision measuring tools including but not limited to various styles of micrometers, calipers and scales • Ability to read and interpret blueprints to be able to understand the design of the machinery • Ability to inspect equipment to determine the appropriate solution/fix needed to keep machines in good working order • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and electronically about projects, machines, specifications and safety measures • Maintain a safe and clean work shop • Ordering materials and tooling as needed to adequately perform your job functions/duties • Willingness to learn AutoCAD Inventor to be able to create needed drawings for reverse engineering parts and potential 3D printing. Training paid for by the company • Willingness to learn tig and mig welding as needed for part repairs or fabrication. Training paid for by the company.
