RequirementsConditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. This position involves duties which are subject to Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations regarding hazardous wastes. This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer. Due to the nature of this position, employees may be required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime. TDY Travel of 5% may be required.
