Job Description:
Eligible for a $1,500 signing bonus.Machinists wanted!! This is in our Conway, New Hampshire division, Tee Enterprises. Minimum 3-5 years' experience.1-manual Machinist with Proto Trak experience.1- with G code or Hurco CNC/Mill and willing to learn Water Jetting1-with CNC Lathe experience.Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with potential overtime. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Program, setup, operate and shut down CNC milling machines following established procedures and all manufacturer safety requirements.
  • Confirm that all safety devices are in place and operational.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks.
  • Maintain log of preventive maintenance on a daily/weekly schedule according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Position work piece against stops securely.
  • Measure work-piece dimensions throughout the operation to assure quality and repeatability.
  • Design or recommend tooling to perform the job more efficiently.
  • Selects, positions, and aligns tooling in machine tool holder and confirms they are secured in place as well as sharpening and maintaining tooling for peak performance.
  • Notify the Production Manager of worn or broken tooling.
  • Adjust set specified pressure and tool clearance.
  • Set cut dimensions using computer controls from print details.
  • Alert supervisor of any problems and suggest changes that will allow jobs to run more efficiently.
  • Observe tool and machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Maintain tooling inventory including consumables along with maintaining material storage.
  • Keep work area neat and orderly, including clean-up of metal chips.
  • Consider pallet weight and stacking methods to maintain safe capacity.
  • Maintain machine coolant as required.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned to help Prescott achieve its goals.
Inspection Requirements:
  • Verify material type, thickness, and quantity.
  • Check for any material defects or damage.
  • Verify grain direction if applicable.
  • Verify correct orientation of all pieces.
  • Check all hole sizes on first piece to verify correct tooling setup.
  • Check first piece counter bore size, counter sink size and thread size.
Minimum Qualifications/Technical Knowledge Required:
  • High school/technical school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior Machinist experience 3-5 years.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to interpret Job Travelers (work orders).
  • Understand (BOM) Bill of Materials.
  • Ability to identify material types and gauges.
  • Understand job specifications to determine adjustments.
