Job Title: Career and Technical Education Supervisor
Work Calendar: 12 months / 220 days in person; 20 days on-call (meetings, emails, deliveries, etc)
Reports to: Director of Schools
Department/School: Macon County Board of Education
Primary Purpose:Oversee all aspects of the College and Career Technical Education programs within the Macon County School System. Serve as a liaison between the Macon County School System and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology. Serve as a representative of the Macon County Schools System in local, state, and national workforce development enterprises.
Qualifications:Education/Licensure:
Master's degree with Instructional Leadership /Administration Endorsement preferred. Bachelor's degree with appropriate CTE work/teaching experience is also accepted.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer.
Posture: Frequent sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
Motion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying.
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather), exposure to noise; occasional districtwide and statewide travel.
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress.
