The Magnet Program Coordinator facilitates with the Chief Nurse Executive and the Chief Nursing Officer(s), the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of procedures in support of nursing excellence, innovation, research, process improvement and an evidence-based practice environment.
- Acts as a liaison with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in all aspects of organizational Magnet® and/or Pathway to Excellence® status including interim reporting, demographics, application writing, and submitting documentation.
- Designs the Magnet® and/or Pathway to Excellence® program strategy and nursing recognition activities working collaboratively with the direct care nurses, nurse leaders and ancillary leaders across the health system.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required
- A Florida RN license is required
- 5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or nurse educator experience such as Nurse Manager, Nurse Director, Nurse Educator
- Magnet® Program Director Experience or Pathway to Excellence® leadership experience is required
- Preferred: 3 years Outcomes Manager
