PART TIME 20-25 HOURS/WEEKDescription:
- Daily trip to the post office
- Operation of government vehicle
- Daily rounds to agency / department offices to pick up outgoing mail
- Receiving hand delivered outgoing mail and application of correct postage
- Sorting and collating of mail
- Disposing of junk mail
- Date stamping of all incoming OASAM mail
- Correcting and completing incorrect returned mail
- Stamping mail with postage meters
- Weighing mail to determine correct postage
- Recording and processing registered mail
- Resupplying copy rooms and printing devices with supplies
- Ensuring mailroom is adequately stocked with mail supplies
- Transport letters, small packages, boxes weighing 50 pounds or less
- Completing daily trip manifest, forms, and reports relating to the operation of the vehicle
- Safely loading and unloading cargo (packages, supplies and equipment. etc.), alone or with assistance of one or more employees if necessary.
Knowledge and skills:
- Must be computer literate, be able to enter data at a reasonable rate, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, and sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Updating spreadsheets in Excel
- Verifying addresses
- Printing labels
- Distributing reports
- Reviewing and filing of documents and invoices
- Back-up shredding of sensitive documents
- Assists with archiving of procurement office files
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
- Employee must have a valid driver's license to accomplish work duties.
- Employee is subject to random drug testing as deemed necessary by the OASAM, Safety and Health.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
