Job Description
Western Nevada College is recruiting for Mail Service Technician for the Facilities Management and Planning Department. The position will provide assistance to the entire college by picking up and delivering mail and packages. Other duties include, but are not limited to: warehousing goods and large orders; motor pool scheduling and vehicle maintenance; fulfilling purchasing assignments such as vehicles, parts, mail supplies, and office equipment; utilizing automated postage equipment; supervising employees; operating forklifts and pallet jacks as required; training part-time assistants; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
* This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and two (2) years of experience in sorting, bundling and delivering mail, and operating mail processing equipment; OR
* One (1) year of experience as a Mail Service Clerk II in Nevada State service; OR
* An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.
A valid Class C Nevada driver's license or higher operator's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organization needs.
Compensation Grade
Grade 25
The classified employee pay scale is divided into 10 steps within each grade. Most employees start at a step 1 and are eligible for an annual step increase with satisfactory performance, until they reach the maximum, step 10. Classified employees are eligible for any legislatively approved cost of living increases (COLA).
