MAIL SHOP MANAGER LOCATION Hyattsville, Maryland COMPANY Doyle Printing is a family owned union print shop located in Hyattsville, MD. They have been around since 1926 servicing the Metro Washington and surrounding areas with quality print, & design services. JOB SUMMARY The Mail Shop Manager provides critical internal-facing services across all functions of Doyle's business. SALARY $85k-$100k (commensurate with experience) RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop a schedule to communicate shop workload to management and communicate work assignments to employees
  • Communicate the mail shop schedule to include a daily scheduling meeting
  • Take proactive steps to make sure schedule commitments are met
  • Provide individual job schedules to CSR's and sales when requested
  • Develop a daily work plan with the foreperson that details individual work assignments
  • Schedule overtime
  • Process time cards
  • Coordinate and track time off/vacations
  • Develop and execute a preventative maintenance process
  • Keep sufficient spares on hand to eliminate downtime
  • Address repairs in a timely manner and with a list of approved vendors
  • Maintain written quality assurance documentation
  • Assure quality assurance steps are followed on every job
  • Serve as the final approver where appropriate with a focus on high visibility and high dollar job
  • Maintain sufficient inventory of materials to meet daily production demand
  • Track customer inventory
  • Track and order postal supplies including ink, wafer seals, and packing materialsQUALIFICATIONS
    • 5+ years of mail shop management within a commercial printing company
    • Must have knowledge of DMM (Domestic Mail Manual)
    • Ability to set up and run inkjet, inserter, tabbing or Flowmaster equipment
